The house sits quietly in the woodlands of the Netherlands. Designed for a young family, it’s been inspired by the building traditions of local farms.

It was crucial for us to strike the perfect balance between the stone plinth, heavy and raw, and the wood volumes, smooth and soft. The challenge was to bring their dichotomous characters into a rich and elegant dialogue. Bound by deep greenery, the house achieves a certain elegance while still being reserved and intimate, interpreting the historic in a refreshingly way.
